Founded in 2014 by Richard Taylor and Chris Jones, we focus on individuals rather than function. Our candidates are current or future leaders looking for exciting, challenging environments where they can disrupt and transform an industry. Our clients already change and lead industries, and are looking for exceptional people to make their vision a reality.

Richard Taylor | Co Founder

After reading History at the University of Oxford, Richard built a successful career across a number of different industries. He has worked at director level in a leading London law firm, as director of a professional football club, management consultant for a range of global brands and as project manager for international events. Whilst working across these various sectors, Richard spent a large proportion of his time hiring and managing, working largely with high achievers in high-growth environments. He is passionate about understanding people and what motivates them. His client network is exceptional and stretches across the UK and US, working with some of the world's largest companies, fastest scaling technology companies and most successful and prolific investors. His clients include tech unicorns with £bn valuations, series A-C backed tech firms across a range of areas, members of the Sunday Times Fast Track, the FT's Europe's fastest growing companies and leading management consultancies, Deloittes Fast50 and Fast500, as well as Fortune500 and Forbes Global 2000. In his spare time, Richard can be found watching too much sport (mainly lower league football, tennis and the NFL), volunteering for various charities with education at their centre and travelling the globe.

Chris Jones | Co Founder

Chris has worked across a range of industries over the last two decades, including Insurance, Finance, Sport and Technology. During this time he has trained, managed and hired talent. Chris has recruited and developed teams that have helped to build some of the UK's fastest growing companies with a strong focus on sales and management functions, including a company that sold for over £80m. He is particularly interested in employee happiness and creating the conditions in which excellence can be achieved. As well as being passionate about high-growth companies, he believes in high retention, with some of the companies he has managed receiving national awards and recognition for employee satisfaction. In his spare time, Chris is on a mission to find the best flat white, while deciding on which non-dairy milk he prefers. Also, thanks to his two young daughters, he has extensive knowledge of Disney princesses. In a previous life he also enjoyed watching a lot of live sport, although this appears to have been replaced by family trips out, which he wouldn't swap for the world.

Owen Roberts | Director

Owen read History at Oriel College, Oxford before embarking on a decade-long career in recruitment. He joined a boutique financial services recruitment firm as a graduate recruiter and left five years later as Associate Director. As well as owning and running businesses in recruitment, media, and finance, he has recruited across many sectors, various roles and at all levels of seniority. Now that he works at TJP, whatever it is you are doing now, and whatever it is you want to do next, Owen is well placed to listen and offer some timely advice. In his spare time, he looks after two young children and a giant schnauzer and attempts to relive his glory days on the sports pitch. Owen runs an annual half marathon due to the theory that if he keeps beating his time, he will live forever.

Emma Hughes | Associate

Emma graduated in 2018 from Exeter College, Oxford, with a Masters' Degree in Earth Sciences and prior to joining Taylor Jones in February 2019, worked as a strategist at an award-winning Architectural & Interior Design Practice in London. As an Associate at TJP, Emma communicates with high-achieving candidates on a daily basis and works to understand, particularly at Graduate level, what kind of role and company makes a good fit for each individual. She is passionate about extending her network of ambitious, bright candidates. Outside of her life at TJP, Emma has a keen interest in the Theatre, particularly musicals, in addition to enjoying keeping fit and active. She is also learning Italian in her spare time.

Nikita Frampton | Associate

Nikita recently read for a Master’s degree in History at the University of Oxford, where she was a member of the university’s boxing club and the Social Secretary of her college. After her undergraduate degree at the University of York, Nikita worked as a production assistant for a London-based film company and as a freelance content writer, before gaining experience at a PR agency. Now an Associate at TJP, you can find Nikita searching for new opportunities in an operational and strategic role. In her spare time, Nikita can be found at the gym, running, or attempting to improve her foreign language skills. She’ll read pretty much any book she can get her hands on (bonus points if it involves history or psychology), and if she’s on the move will generally be feeding her mild addiction to podcasts.

Emma Wills | Associate

After Emma completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Cambridge, she moved abroad to study in the Netherlands and recently read for Master’s in Health Psychology from the University of Amsterdam. This year, Emma has helped a start-up to provide corporate sleep solutions, and has held a support role in a mental health support organisation. She has also helped to create content for a fitness start-up and worked as a research assistant at her University. As a TJP Associate, Emma is responsible for all TJP social media content. Apart from working, Emma enjoys going to see live music, and can often be found practising Tae Kwon-Do which she’s been doing since she was young. At the moment, she is also investing time into the difficult task of learning Dutch, and breaking that up with trips to the climbing wall.

Samantha Petersone | Associate

Samantha recently graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Economics and Finance and also studies Data Science at Master’s level. During university she volunteered as a tutor teaching Econometrics to fellow students sharing her passion for data. After working in the fashion industry, Samantha gained experience in management consulting and data analytics, interning at a Big Four firm and working in a tech start-up. Here she was responsible for business valuation models and consumer geolocation tracking process improvements. In her free time Samantha can be found in the gym, running outdoors or learning maths (for fun). She is an avid reader with interests in AI Ethics, Biographies, Entrepreneurship, Psychology and Montessori Education.
